Introduction
DUTY APPLICABLE TO ALL PRACTITIONERS
General Duties to Members of the Public or Other Persons or Bodies by Property Practitioners
- Any act that is contrary to the integrity of the Property Practitioners Act
- To protect the interest of his/her client, with due regard to the interest of all other parties concerned
- A Property Practitioner shall not accept any mandate requiring specialized skills or knowledge that falls outside his/her field of competence
- Unless assisted by any person who has the required skills / knowledge
- Must be disclosed in writing to the client
- Shall not willfully or negligently fail to perform any work or duties as might be reasonably expected from a Property Practitioner
- Shall always comply with the Act, these Regulations and all applicable bylaws
- Shall not perform any act through any other medium (company, CC, or Third Party) which would not be permissible in his capacity as a Property Practitioner
- Shall not influence any person entitled to trust funds
