FICA Documentation

Close Corporation:

• Copy of Identity Documents for all members.
• Income Tax number and VAT registration number – official document issued by SARS.
• Proof of business address.
• Copy of CK1/CK2/CIPRO.

Company:

• Proof of business address.
• Copy of Identity Documents for all Directors.
• Income Tax number and VAT registration number – official document issued by SARS.
• Company documents:
  • CM1 – Certificate of Incorporation.
  • CM22/CIPRO – Notice of Registered Office or Trading Address of Company.
  • CM31 – Appointment of Auditors.

Estates:

• Copy of Identity Document for the Deceased.
• Copy of Death Certificate.
• Copy of Letter of Executorship.
• Copy of Letter of Authority – Issued by Master of High Court (Section 18 Estates).
• Copy of Power of Attorney – if 3rd Party Appointed to Assist Executor.
• Copy of Will.

Trust:

• Trust Deed or Founding Statement.
• Master’s Letter of Authority (local trust) or Foreign Authorization – appointing trustees.
• List of beneficiaries required if not named in Trust Deed.
• Income Tax numbers and VAT registration numbers.
• Copy of Identity Documents for all Trustees and Beneficiaries.
• Founder – copy of death certificate if deceased, copy of Identity Document, residential address and details. No proof of address required.

Seller Natural Person:

• Copy of Identity Document.
• Copy of Marriage Certificate.
• Copy of Ante-nuptial Contract.
• Proof of Income Tax number (IRP5).
• Proof of Residence not older than 3 months:
  • Latest Council account.
  • Latest Homeowners account.
  • Latest Body Corporate account.

Purchaser Natural Person:

• Copy of Identity Document.
• Copy of Marriage Certificate.
• Copy of Ante-nuptial Contract.
• Proof of Income Tax number (IRP5).
• Proof of Residence not older than 3 months.

Additional Requirements for Sellers:

• Existing Title Deed (original required if there is no bond).
• Bond Account Details (name of the bank, bond account number).
• Municipal Account / Homeowners / Body Corporate Details.

Purchaser:

• Authority to Invest.
